What is Airsoft?
Airsoft skirmishing is a simulated combat game played with replica firearms which fire plastic BBs. Safe, legal, organised and controlled war games are enjoyed by men and women of all ages at thousands of playing sites throughout Europe. It is one of the fastest growing outdoor activities in the world and for an adventure sport it is surprisingly cheap to play and easy to get involved in.
Airsoft allows you the rare opportunity to release pent up energy, escape the pressures of everyday life and gain a sense of community. These positive ideals of discipline, physical exercise and team spirit far outweigh any concerns over playing war. Our hobby it doesn’t glorify real conflict. If anything, it re-iterates how dangerous and undesirable it would be to have real bullets coming at you! Airsoft is a fun challenge where no one gets hurt. You play with your opponents, not against them.
There are also many other aspects of the hobby, such as the technical challenge when altering your replica or gear, no to mention that airsoft has also created a large industry, employing thousands of people in both game organisation and retail.
